Oh, Shalom - I'm Mara.  Born and raised in the crazy state of Delaware, I came to Israel in 2008 to volunteer for five months in Tel Aviv. Five months turned into ten years (funny how life does that), and today I live on a beautiful kibbutz with my husband and baby girl, who loves to visit the cowshed and pick clementines in the orchard.

 

Wanting to learn more about this country, I went back to school to become a certified Israeli tour guide, earning my license in 2015.  Many times I find friends call me for trip recommendations for visiting family or just things to do with their kids on the weekend.  So I decided to compile a blog with some golden gems - that is - trips I have done either alone or with my family for you to enjoy or take inspiration.
